Foreign Trade

Seychelles’ foreign trade policy aims at promoting an interdependent trade regime. Seychelles is a member of the regional tradingblocks such as COMESA, SADC,  IOC and  also the multilateral trade regime that is the WTO.

Committing to establishing principles for the stable development of the economy, the Seychelles’ Government has been working towards promoting a free market movement of goods and services throughout the country’s borders. Seychelles is currently enjoying preference treatment in the EU market.

Seychelles is an import-based economy and its main trading partners are the European, African and Asian countries.
