5th – 6th April 2011

Following the increasing interest in a Seychelles local chapter of the Investment Forum by local stakeholders, the first Forum for the calendar 2011 is being proposed to take place in Victoria, Seychelles from 5th – 6th April 2011 in Room 1 at the ICCS.

Being spearheaded by the Seychelles Investment Bureau in participation with its various partners including the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and industry, the forum is the first of its kind to be organised for the business community and depending on its success the Bureau would like to undertake similar events in the future.

The Seychelles Investment Forum will bring together policy makers, business leaders and business associations from all the prominent sectors of the economy to not only unveil potential investment opportunities, but, also to discuss the current investment climate and ease or constraints of doing business in Seychelles with the view of improving on the current investment framework.

International financial institution like the PTA Bank and ADB will be present together with local financial institutions to deliver presentations on possible project financing – this element of the forum will be dedicated on the 6th which is the second and last day in Room 2 of the ICCS.

The forum which is one of the activities under the Seychelles Investment Bureau outreach strategy is also aimed at encouraging public-private dialogue, responding to one of the major cry of the private sector which is to contribute ideas towards improving doing business in Seychelles.
