Under the terms of the Act, the minimum capital requirement to set up an
insurance company in the Seychelles is SR2 million. There are a number of insurance brokers and insurance
agents that place business with the local insurers, with the two main insurers being
SACL and HSI.
Both the on-shore and off-shore insurance sector are administered by the
Insurance Authority.
